The terms that apply to every Dream Hibachi booking — pricing, payment, cancellations, and guest responsibilities.
Dream Hibachi provides private hibachi catering services. Our chef comes to your home, backyard, or event venue with a portable hibachi grill, fresh ingredients, and everything needed to cook a live hibachi show for you and your guests.
Each event includes a live tableside hibachi show with your choice of 2 proteins per person, plus salad, fried rice, and grilled vegetables. A typical party lasts about 90 minutes.
Our standard pricing is $60 per guest with private parties from $600. Children are $30 per child.
Protein upgrades: filet mignon +$5 per guest, lobster +$10 per guest. Add-ons such as gyoza, edamame, and extra noodles are available at checkout.
Volume discounts apply to larger parties: 30–39 adults −$100, 40–49 adults −$150, 50+ adults −$200.
Electronic payments (Zelle, Apple Pay, Venmo, PayPal) add an 8% tax on food only. Cash payments have no added fee.
A $100 deposit locks in your date and counts toward your total — it is not an extra charge on top of your party price.
The balance is due on your party day: pay cash at the list price, or pay electronically with the 8% tax on food. A gratuity of 20% to thank your chef is suggested — always optional — and is paid directly to your chef.
Guests provide their own tables, chairs, plates, utensils, and drinks. Dream Hibachi brings the chef, grill, ingredients, and cooking equipment.
A flat, stable outdoor cooking area with reasonable access is required. In case of rain, you are responsible for providing a covered cooking area (tent, patio, or awning) so our chef can cook safely.
All cancellations and rescheduled parties require a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or rescheduling made with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to a $100 fee. Please see our Refund Policy for full details.
Weather exception. Dream Hibachi cooks outdoors only. If, on the day of your event, the forecast or actual conditions at your venue include heavy rain, lightning, or other severe weather that makes outdoor cooking unsafe, and your venue does not have a covered area where our chef can cook, you may reschedule your event once, free of charge — the $100 fee does not apply, even when the decision is made within 48 hours of your event. The new date is subject to availability and is set by mutual agreement. We ask that you contact us as early as possible on the day of your event so we can make the decision together. This exception does not apply when a covered area is available, or when the weather does not affect the safety of cooking outdoors; in those cases, your event proceeds as planned or the standard policy above applies.
Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when booking. While we take allergies seriously and cook with care, our grill is a shared cooking surface that regularly handles shellfish, soy, wheat, egg, and sesame, so we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Our chefs may take photos or short videos during your event for our website and social media. If you prefer not to be photographed, just let us know before or during the event and we will respect your wishes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dream Hibachi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the event in question.
